RockTek
RocKracker™ Product Guide
RocKracker™ propellant gas generating cartridges fracture and
break up oversize boulders, mass rock, dimension stone and concrete
without the need for high explosives and detonators. RocKracker utilize
a composite propellant and an electric match(E) or non-electric shocktube
thermal igniter(S) to generate gas pressure in a properly confined,
correctly drilled and loaded hole to fracture rock, boulder or concrete.

RockTek
QuikDraw™ Product Guide
QuikDraw™, the new, patented, hang-up relief
system from RockTek, can increase your productivity and profitability
by safely and quickly clearing hazardous hang-ups, loose slabs,
and other unstable rock masses. The QuikDraw™
system incorporates simple, rugged, easy-to-handle components
and commercial explosives that can be set up in minutes, without
the use of heavy equipment or the need for personnel to enter
dangerous areas. QuikDraw™ is available
in 2.2kg (5lb.) detonator sensitive cast booster, tail fin
size only. Customer must acquire the specific cast booster
and detonator for use. Contact RockTek for specific details.
Laser
sighting assures accurate delivery of the explosive
charge to the desired point of impact, from distances of up
to 100 meters (300'), using a handheld blasting machine, a
non-electric blasting system, or an electric firing system.
The safety and efficiency of QuikDraw™
eliminates the hazardous placement of standard bulk charges
near the hang up.
RockTek® is leading the way to safe,
reliable, and effective methods of rock breaking for mining,
tunnelling, and civil excavation. To receive more information
about RockTek products that can improve the efficiency of
your operations, call, fax, or e-mail us today.

QuikDraw
hang-up removal system includes launcher and aiming hardware
as well as projectiles, propellant and fuzes. Launcher Unit
consists of Launcher Barrel, Launcher Base, Locking Pin, Elevation
Saddle, and 2 Bipod Legs. QuikBox storage and transport box
sold separately. Individual QuikDraw replacement components
may be found below. |
|
 |
|
Hone
System is designed to ream out launcher tube to remove propellant
residue after multiple uses. Shaft separates into 3 pieces for
compact storage. Fits 1/2" drill chuck. |

|
The
composite projectile is designed specifically for initiation
on irregular rock surfaces. Once launched, the projectile travels
at 130 to 490 ft/sec. (40 to 150 m/sec.) depending upon the
size of the pyrotechnic charge, the barrel length, and the weight
of the cast explosive.
Packaging: 12 per case
Part Number: Q521
Hazard Class: None |
|
 |
|
The
propelling charge is a pyrotechnic material specified to provide
a consistent low-pressure launch of the QuikDraw projectiles
independent of elevation of the launcher barrel. The charge
holder is inserted into a slotted retainer provided inside the
launcher base for this purpose.
Packaging: 1 per package
Part Number: Q531
Hazard Class: UN0351 EX-9910103 1.4c DG Class |

 |
|
The
impact fuze is designed for safe assembly with the other QuikDraw
components and initiates the detonator upon impact with the
target. It has a guaranteed no-fire drop height for armed projectiles
of 20 vertical feet (6m). Works with a standard #8 blasting
detonator. Fuzes are color-coded for specific locations as follows:
Blue (Q922/bl): U.S.A., Canada
Red (Q922/rd): Australia
Black (Q922/bk): Australia
Natural (Q922/na): S. Africa
Packaging: 12, 24, 36 or 48 per case
Part Number: Q922/bl, /rd, /bk, /na
Hazard Class: UN0055 EX-9807084 1.4s DG Class |

The
laser is designed to be mounted to the laser alignment saddle.
The beam from the laser is used to aim QuikDraw at the targeted
boulder. Once the correct position for the launcher barrel is
determined, the laser and laser saddle are removed prior to
initiation.
Packaging: 1 per package
Part Number: Q800
Hazard Class: None |

The
laser and alignment saddle are designed to be placed on the
outside of the launcher barrel. The beam from the laser is used
to aim QuikDraw at the targeted boulder. Once the correct position
for the launcher barrel is determined, the laser and saddle
are removed prior to initiation. Laser installation and pre-aiming
available on request. Laser not included.
Part Number: Q820
Hazard Class: None |
